Heinz Janisch

Heinz Janisch was born in Gussing, Gergenland, Austria and works for the Austrian (radio) Broadcasting Corporation. His children's books have been published in more than a dozen languages. He has been honored with the Austrian State Prize for poetry for children, the austrian children's literature prize, and teh Bologna Ragazzi Award.

Heave Ho! was selected for Boston Reads! as an ideal book for family sharing. Of "I Have a Little Problem," said the bear, Booklist said "First published in Austria, this amusing offering will also appeal to children here."
