Silke Leffler

Silke Leffler was born in Vorarlberg, Austria. She spent her childhood and youth in Holland, Austria, Germany, and different countries in Africa. She studied textile design and worked for a design studio in England. She began her career as an illustrator in 1998. Silke was awarded The Federation of the Austrian Book Trade prize for the “most beautiful books in Austria” for her work for children and youth. Her first title on the North-South Books Inc. list was A Simply Wonderful Christmas and she recently released a critically-acclaimed edition of Andersen's Fairy Tales.
